Kidani Village's main lobby and primary entrance closed August 17 for refurbishment, with check-in moved to the Palace Library through October 9.
The resort is open. Your arrival path just is not going to look like the one in every old resort video.
Key details
- Main lobby and primary entrance: closed August 17 through October 9
- Check-in: temporarily in the Palace Library during that first phase
- Johari Treasures: closed August 17 through August 28
- North lobby corridor: closed September 28 through October 9
- South lobby corridor: closed October 26 through November 6
The September 28 to October 9 phase affects the north lobby corridor, including the second-floor north lobby elevators and the outdoor terrace observation deck. Then, from October 26 through November 6, the south lobby corridor is listed as unavailable along with Community Hall, Safari So Good Arcade, the laundry room, lobby restrooms, the Palace Library, and the outdoor terrace observation deck.
The Palace Library being on both the temporary check-in plan and the later closure list is the detail to watch. The published schedule does not say where check-in will move during that October 26 to November 6 phase.
Kidani Village still has its savanna views, its pools, its buses, and its whole quiet Animal Kingdom Lodge energy. The front end of the stay is just a little messier for a while. Knowing about it before the luggage arrives is better than finding out while everyone is standing under the portico asking where check-in went.
