The Village Green at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has reopened after a roughly two-and-a-half-week turf replacement.

It is the little lawn facing Crescent Lake beside Surrey Bike Rental—the one that gives the BoardWalk a soft landing between all the resort-to-EPCOT foot traffic. Fresh turf is not usually a headline act, but closing that patch of green changes the feel of the center courtyard more than one might expect.

WDWNT reports that the Green closed August 10, its old turf was removed within days, and new artificial turf was visible by August 22. Access has now returned, with no other changes to the space reported.

Movies Under the Stars are held on the Village Green, so this is more than a landscaping note for BoardWalk Inn guests. The courtyard has its familiar job back: a small, open place along Crescent Lake that is allowed to be a little quieter than the BoardWalk around it.

The next listed BoardWalk-area closures are separate. WDWNT reports that Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations are scheduled to close from January 11 through April 2027. The Village Green is open now.
