That little half-hour trim gives World Showcase a very precise holiday finale. The last Candlelight Processional is expected to wrap around 9 p.m., leaving 15 minutes before Luminous begins across the lagoon. American Gardens Theatre is essentially handing the evening a baton and asking it not to dawdle.
The whole holiday clock moves earlier
In previous Festival of the Holidays seasons, EPCOT stayed open until 9:30 p.m. and Luminous began at 9:30. For 2026, the park closes at 9 p.m. and the nighttime spectacular follows 15 minutes later.
Yes, the fireworks are scheduled after the posted park close. That is the detail Disney regulars will immediately clock, because a 9 p.m. close can look like the end of the entertainment line when the lagoon is actually saving one last flourish for 9:15.
Candlelight Processional also moves forward by 15 minutes across all three performances. The former 5, 6:45 and 8:15 p.m. schedule becomes 4:45, 6:30 and 8 p.m. The first show now catches a little more late-afternoon light; the final show lands right on EPCOT's closing bell.
Candlelight and Luminous now sit shoulder to shoulder
The 8 p.m. Candlelight Processional is the schedule's intriguing little squeeze. WDWMAGIC reports that it should finish around 9 p.m., just as the park reaches its posted close, with Luminous beginning 15 minutes later. That is a much tighter pairing than the clock first suggests.
