Animal Kingdom’s future Tropical Americas land has fresh roof framing, new rockwork, and a growing Casita structure. This is the point where the old DinoLand site starts to look less like a construction zone and more like Pueblo Esperanza.
The new wooden roof trusses are up near El Carrusel de los Animalitos, the carousel coming to the land. It is just framing, but it already has that warm village feel instead of a big shiny theme-park box. A carousel with hand-carved-animal-style figures belongs in Animal Kingdom. We are very ready to see that one in person.
The Encanto piece is taking shape, too. Steel is rising for the Casita façade of Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, where Disney says guests will head into Antonio’s rainforest bedroom on the day he receives his gift to communicate with animals. The house is going to hide part of the larger show building behind it, which is precisely the kind of Disney trick we love watching come together.
More themed rockwork is appearing near a side entrance, and existing buildings are being worked into the village. Tropical Americas is still set for 2027, with no opening date yet. But this is no longer just “the thing replacing DinoLand.” We can see the beginning of a place with roofs, color, animals, and a Casita tucked into the trees.
