Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has been added to the Extended Evening Hours attraction list at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Wednesday, October 14, and Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Both events are scheduled from 9 to 11 p.m. for eligible resort guests.
This is the ride the perk was noticeably missing. Hollywood Studios already kept Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in the late-night mix; leaving Rise of the Resistance dark stranded the park’s biggest time commitment in regular hours. Now those two extra hours have a much more convincing centerpiece.

Rise joins Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Tours — The Adventures Continue on a nine-attraction lineup. Alien Swirling Saucers, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Slinky Dog Dash, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Mania are also listed.
That is a much more persuasive Hollywood Studios night. Rise is not simply another checkbox; it is the attraction whose long daytime wait can rearrange an entire park plan. Its previous absence forced eligible guests to handle the Resistance during regular hours even when they had a quieter two-hour window coming later.
Disney Food Blog reported the addition on October 9 after finding Rise of the Resistance on Disney’s eligible-attraction list. The source does not state exactly when the listing changed or whether Hollywood Studios will receive more Extended Evening Hours dates after October 28.
The guest list is narrower than the ride list
Extended Evening Hours are not included with every Walt Disney World hotel stay. The October events are for guests at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and a short list of other eligible properties: the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve, plus Shades of Green.
The Disney Vacation Club cabins at Fort Wilderness qualify, but the source specifically limits that eligibility to the DVC cabins. That little parenthetical is worth clocking; a Fort Wilderness address by itself does not put every accommodation inside the Extended Evening Hours boundary.
