Hurly-Burly Is Giving Disney’s BoardWalk a 1 A.M. Bedtime

The new BoardWalk lounge opens October 1 from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., with family games first and a 21-and-over late-night act after 9 p.m.

Hurly-Burly opens October 1 at Disney’s BoardWalk with hours from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests of all ages are welcome until 9 p.m.; after that, the new lounge becomes a 21-and-over room with late-night music.

And there it is: the BoardWalk finally has an evening plan that does not start turning into a pumpkin after dinner. Four in the afternoon to one in the morning is a deliciously long runway for a venue built around seaside-theater mischief.

The 9 p.m. costume change is the whole trick

Early evenings belong to games, trivia, small plates, mocktails, and families. At 9 p.m., the age rule changes and the room leans into live music, cocktails, wine, and beer for adults.

That split is smarter than making the entire lounge adults-only. Families can see the new space and play along before bedtime, while the BoardWalk still gets a genuinely grown-up late-night act. One room, two audiences, and no need to pretend they want the same evening.

Hurly-Burly is walk-up only, with no reservations required. Select drinks will also be available from an exterior window, so a caramel-corn cold brew or cocktail does not automatically require a full lounge stop.

Caramel corn is in the coffee and the old fashioned

The food lineup includes Meatballs in Tomato Gravy, Antipasto, Mini Pretzels with Bacon-Cheese Fondue, Tomato Pie, Oven-roasted Shrimp, and Roast Beef Sliders. Plant-based versions of the meatballs and tomato pie can be requested.

Then the concession-stand spirit starts getting ideas. Caramel Corn Cold Brew comes topped with caramel sweet cream and caramel popcorn, while the cocktail list answers with a Caramel Corn Old Fashioned. We admire a menu willing to commit to the bit in both caffeine and bourbon.

Other nonalcoholic drinks include the frozen orange-and-sweet-cream Overture in Orange and the cherry-lemonade Cherry Marquee. The cocktail list also includes an Amaretto Sour and cherry-vodka limeade.

Disney still has not published prices. The hours are wonderfully generous; the unanswered question is whether a few small plates and drinks will feel like an easy BoardWalk encore or a surprisingly expensive second dinner.
