Coral Reef Restaurant will close at EPCOT on September 8 and reopen November 4, 2026, according to a September 5 WDWMAGIC report. Its returning schedule remains dinner only, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily; lunch has not been confirmed.
And Coral Reef without lunch is not quite a full return. This is the dining room tucked beside The Seas with Nemo & Friends’ 5.7-million-gallon aquarium, where sharks, rays, fish, and the occasional diver have always been considerably more compelling than anybody’s bread basket. Getting that room back is lovely. Getting it back only after 4 p.m. is a real boundary.
The aquarium returns after eight weeks
The closure begins September 8 and runs for approximately eight weeks. Coral Reef is then scheduled to resume service November 4.
Coral Reef moved to a dinner-only schedule on January 4, 2026, and WDWMAGIC reports that the same 4 p.m.-to-9 p.m. hours remain attached to the reopening. This is not a temporary post-refurbishment schedule in the reporting; it is a continuation of the operating pattern already in place.
The location remains one of EPCOT’s most particular dining rooms. Tables face the aquarium inside The Seas pavilion, turning dinner into a very blue little theater where the scenery occasionally swims past. November guests now have a firm date for its return rather than a vague promise of “later in 2026.”
What November 4 does not answer
Lunch service is still not confirmed. A November 4 dining reservation should therefore be treated as an evening possibility, not evidence that the restaurant’s former midday hours are returning.
The September 5 report also does not state what work will happen during the closure or whether Coral Reef will reopen with menu, dining-room, or aquarium-view changes. No new dishes or refurbishment details are included.
So the calendar now has two clean edges: the closure begins September 8, and dinner service returns November 4 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Everything beyond that—including lunch and any visible changes inside—remains unanswered.
