Disney's BoardWalk Inn is scheduled to close Village Green from August 10 through September 4, 2026. Movie Under the Stars, yoga, and crafts are expected to relocate to other places around the resort during the courtyard closure.

The closure is part of the resort's ongoing refurbishment work. Most amenities, including dining, recreation, and merchandise locations, are expected to remain available, although guests may see or hear daytime work.

Key details

  • Village Green closure: August 10 through September 4
  • Activities affected: Movie Under the Stars, yoga, and crafts
  • Plan for activities: Relocate elsewhere around the resort
  • Broader refurbishment: Continues through late 2026

A small closure with a real resort-day effect

Village Green is not a pool or a restaurant, but it is a familiar setting for scheduled resort activities. Families with a non-park afternoon or a relaxed EPCOT-area evening may feel the change most, especially if they planned around a movie, craft, or yoga session.

The source reporting says these activities are moving, not ending. Exact locations and times were not included, so guests should check the current recreation calendar when they arrive. A pre-trip schedule can become stale once a temporary relocation begins.

What remains available

The reported work does not close the BoardWalk Inn as a resort. Dining, recreation, and merchandise locations are expected to remain open, though the experience may include visible construction or daytime noise.

This short courtyard closure should also be kept separate from the larger 2027 pool project. The Luna Park Pool, Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations are reported to close January 11 through April 2027. That is a different project with different dates.

For an August or early-September stay, allow a little flexibility around the resort recreation plan and confirm the relocated activity location after check-in.
